Hi thewall - just wanted to let you know that: 1) when I restarted this morning the prob with explorer manifested itself again 2) I started the scan you asked me to do this morning but it was taking very long (also because it was including external drives in the scan - should I let it do that or is it irrelevant?) and now I need to go out, so I had to stop it and I'll have to start it again from scratch when I find the time (possibly this evening, more probably tomorrow morning). That's OK, unless it just takes too long go ahead and let it scan all the drives but this time let it remove anything it finds. I also want to make you aware that you need to use a clean computer to change any passwords you may have. Especially those of a really sensitive nature like used for banking or other forms of business.

I want you to try one other scan, I believe it is back up working now. It will usually take a bit to run so you have to be patient with it. Please do a scan with Kaspersky Online Scanner.
